Last updated: 14 April 2025  ·  Mantelkin, Bangkok, Thailand

Mantelkin takes the handling of personal information seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and what your rights are in relation to it. If you have questions, please write to us at [email protected].

1. Who We Are

Mantelkin is an educational workshop provider based at 137 Pridi Banomyong 41, Phra Khanong Nuea, Wattana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand. We offer household communication and records workshops for adults. Mantelkin is the data controller for personal information collected through our website and in connection with our services.

Our operations are subject to the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) of Thailand (PDPA).

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact data: name, email address, phone number — submitted via our enquiry form or provided directly when booking a session.
  • Communication data: the content of messages you send to us by email or through the website form.
  • Session data: notes taken during a workshop at the participant's direction (e.g. items recorded on a household map). These notes are given to the participant and not retained by Mantelkin after the session ends.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time on site — collected via analytics cookies if you consent to them.
  • Payment data: we do not store payment details. Any payment processing is handled by a third-party provider.

We do not collect sensitive personal data (health information, financial records, identification documents) and we do not ask to see participants' actual household papers.

3. How We Use Personal Data

  • To respond to enquiries and schedule sessions (legal basis: contract / pre-contract steps).
  • To send confirmation and administrative messages relating to booked workshops (legal basis: contract).
  • To send our post-session feedback request (legal basis: legitimate interest — improving our service).
  • To send occasional updates about new workshops, if you have opted in (legal basis: consent — you may withdraw at any time).
  • To analyse website usage and improve our content, if analytics cookies are accepted (legal basis: consent).
  • To comply with legal obligations under Thai law.

4. Data Retention

  • Enquiry and booking records: retained for 2 years from the date of last contact, then deleted.
  • Session feedback: retained for 3 years in anonymised aggregate form; individual responses deleted after 12 months.
  • Technical/analytics data: retained for 13 months, then deleted.
  • Marketing contact list: retained until you withdraw consent, then deleted within 30 days.

5. Sharing Personal Data

We do not sell personal data to any third party. We may share data with:

  • Email service providers — for sending confirmations and responses (data processed under contractual terms).
  • Analytics tools — if you have consented to analytics cookies (data anonymised where possible).
  • Legal authorities — if required by Thai law or court order.

We do not transfer personal data internationally as a routine matter. If circumstances require an international transfer, we will ensure appropriate protections are in place.

6. Data Security

We use standard security measures including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls limiting who within Mantelkin can access personal data, and regular review of stored data. In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to individuals, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Committee of Thailand within 72 hours and notify affected individuals without undue delay.

7. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. Essential cookies are required for basic site functions. Optional analytics and preference cookies are set only with your consent. For full details, please see our Cookie Policy.

8. Your Rights Under the PDPA

Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act, you have the following rights:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data, subject to legal obligations.
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured, readable format.
  • Object to processing: object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent: withdraw any previously given consent at any time, without affecting lawfulness of earlier processing.
  • Lodge a complaint: complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee of Thailand (PDPC) if you believe your rights have been infringed.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

10. Age and Eligibility

Mantelkin workshops are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Where changes are significant, we will notify participants who have opted into our communications. Continued use of our website or services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
